The Amantian Calendar
Year Structure
The Amantian year has 365 days, divided into four seasons called Turns, each 90 days long, separated by holiday festivals.

The five festival days use Arcavéan deity names by convention; other regions substitute their own culturally relevant gods while preserving the spirit of each observance.
Structure of a Turn
Each Turn is divided into nine 10-day spans. Each span has 7 workdays and 3 days of rest. The Arcavéan standard names:

Regional Variation
Other cultures preserve the 10-day structure and 7/3 work-rest split but use their own deity names and may shift which days are rest days.
There are 24 hours in a civil day.
Lunar Cycle
Amantia has one moon. Its phases within a 30-day cycle:
- Day 1 — Full
- Day 5 — Three-quarter (waning)
- Day 10 — One-third (waning)
- Day 15 — Dark (new moon)
- Day 20 — One-third (waxing)
- Day 25 — Three-quarter (waxing)
- Day 30 — Full again
The moon governs tides at roughly 12-hour intervals. Intercalary festival days also serve as practical calibrations keeping the civil count aligned with lunar and seasonal reality.
Dating Convention
Years are counted as BA (Before the Arcadian Age) or AR (After Reckoning). The current year in Arcavéan archives is 1681 AR at the time of the Annals of Amantia.
