Firbolg

Often called gentle giants, though the gentleness comes from choice rather than incapability. Tall, heavily built, and with the distant blood of giants in their veins, Firbolg could easily be terrors. Instead they have chosen to be guardians — of forests, of wild places, of the natural balance. They are wise, patient, and deeply magical in a quiet, rootsy way.
Racial Traits
Creature Type: Humanoid (Giant-kin) Size: Medium (but tall — 7 to 8 ft) Firbolg Magic: Cast Detect Magic and Disguise Self (can appear up to 3 ft shorter) once each per short rest. Wisdom is the spellcasting ability. Hidden Step: As a bonus action, turn invisible until the start of your next turn or until you attack, make a damage roll, or force a saving throw. Once per short rest. Powerful Build: Count as one size larger for carrying capacity. Speech of Beast and Leaf: Communicate simple ideas to Beasts and Plants. They understand you, though you can’t understand them in return.
Appearance
Massive, broad-shouldered, and yet moving with surprising quietness. Skin in muted earth tones — grey-green, pale blue-grey, earthy brown. Hair grows thick and wild. Features are large but often carry a kind, unhurried expression. Their size makes everything around them look slightly too small.
Found In
Deep forests and wild lands. Found throughout the Siórtharan kingdoms, the Prydain Highlands, and the High Kingdom of the Green Stars — wherever old, untouched woodland still exists.
