Bugbear

The apex predators of goblinoid-kind — large, hairy, and terrifyingly stealthy for their size. Where Goblins scatter and Hobgoblins march in formation, Bugbears stalk. They are patient hunters who strike without warning and vanish back into the dark.

Racial Traits

Creature Type: Humanoid (Goblinoid) Powerful Build: Count as one size larger for carrying capacity. Long-Limbed: +5 ft reach on melee attacks on your turn. Sneaky: Proficiency in Stealth. Surprise Attack: On the first round of combat, if you hit a surprised creature, deal an extra 2d6 damage.


Appearance

Massive, heavyset goblinoids covered in thick, coarse fur. Broad, flat faces; small, beady eyes; ears that are large and bat-like. Their size (typically 7+ feet) is at odds with their extraordinary stealth.


Found In

Wilderness regions, goblinoid territories, and frontier lands throughout Amantia. Often encountered as leaders or enforcers within Goblin communities.
