The Fae are one of the oldest peoples of Amantia — beings of raw magic and emotion, tied to the Feywild and to the primal forces of the natural world. The species in this category range from full Fae nobility to mortals whose bloodlines carry Fae influence.
The Fae in Amantia operate on the rules of old fairy tales — obligation, true names, bargains, and a morality that is alien to most mortals. They are not evil, but they are other.

The Summer / Winter Court Tension
The two courts exist in a state of ancient rivalry — rarely open war, but a slow conflict played out through mortal proxies, political manoeuvring, and the turning of seasons. The Siórtharan kingdoms have deep ties to Fae powers through their druidic traditions, and the court rivalry bleeds into mortal politics in those regions.
Meeting a Summer Court Faerie and a Winter Court Faerie together in the mortal world is never coincidence.
